Whales, including the California Grays, Humpbacks and Orcas can be seen heading north along the Mendocino Coast generally from March through April. Mother whales and calves swim close to shore and may even linger in Anchor Bay beside the Whale Watch Inn. Whales can be seen heading south from late September through December.
